Our Impact

  • Since 2014 we have hired over 130 employees, including 66 with disabilities.

  • We have employed adults with varying challenges and disabilities including Autism Spectrum Disorders, Down Syndrome, Deafness, Traumatic Brain Injuries, and Non-Specific Pervasive Developmental Disabilities. Ada's mission is to include and elevate the work experiences for all of our employees. We emphasize what our employees are able to do and encourage their strengths.

  • We recently employed a Syrian refugee who lost his arm in the Syrian civil war. He’s our newest associate baker!

  • Our San Francisco location employs three associates who are profoundly deaf.

  • Our research collaboration to build Access Earth's accessibility app was recognized at the UN headquarters in Vienna.
  • Since 2014, we have paid nearly 1 million dollars in wages to adults with disabilities.

  • We cover health insurance for all eligible employees.

  • Close to 100 volunteers from local high schools have volunteered with us and earned community service hours.

  • We are a Green Business sourcing local ingredients and supplies, and using over 90% compostable materials.
